My Woodball Journey
I began my woodball journey at Parul University, where I first started playing the sport. My dedication and hard work earned me a spot in the AIU (Association of Indian Universities) team, and I had the privilege of representing Parul University at the national level.
Building on this foundation, I participated in selection trials for international tournaments. In 2023, I was honored to be selected for the Indian team to compete in the 3rd Beach Woodball World Cup, which was a proud moment for me. During this time, I trained under Sudeep Manwatkar sir, the captain of the Indian team, in Nagpur. His guidance and leadership taught me invaluable lessons about the sport. Under his captaincy, I represented India in Malaysia at the 3rd Beach Woodball World Cup.
In 2024, I focused on rigorous practice and participated in the 18th Senior National Woodball Championships 2024 as part of the Gujarat team. I won a Gold Medal in the Stroke Single Event and a Bronze Medal in the Stroke Team Event. Later that year, I competed in the Khel Mahakumbh 3.0 Gujarat State Tournament, where I won 1 Gold Medal and 1 Bronze Medal.
Continuing my journey, I performed well in the selection trials for the National Camp 2024, earning a spot in the Indian team for the 9th Woodball World Cup. Representing India in Shaoxing, China, was another incredible milestone in my career.
Woodball has been a transformative journey for me, filled with opportunities, challenges, and moments of pride. I look forward to continuing my growth in this sport and achieving greater heights in the future.
